Carvin Guitars Releases X220 Reissue Guitar; New X227 7-String Guitar

Carvin Guitars Kiesel Guitars X220 and X227The X220 is back by popular demand! Originally introduced in 1990 and produced through 1993, the X220 was the successor to the hugely popular V220 of the 1980s. The V220 was re-issued in 2007, and since then, the Custom Shop has received many, many requests to resurrect the X220 as well. Unlike it’s 1990s predecessor, the new Kiesel-badged X220 can be built with hundreds of options that weren’t offered during it’s initial run. Standard features include an alder body with neck-through maple neck, ebony fingerboard with white dot inlays, a Hipshot™ fixed bridge and a pair of Kiesel Passive Lithium Series humbuckers. Like all Custom Shop instruments, you can order your X220 by choosing from dozens of options, including exotic woods, finishes and hardware.

But we haven’t stopped there! The Custom Shop is excited to debut our first “pointy” 7-string guitar, the X227. Modeled on the X220, this 7-string model has the aggressive looks and superior sound demanded by today’s popular genre musicians. Like the X220, the X227 is equipped with Kiesel Passive Lithium Series humbuckers, a Hipshot™ bridge, and can be outfitted with a huge selection of Custom Shop options.

No matter what your playing style is, your level of experience, or your personal tastes, Kiesel Guitars and the Carvin Guitars Custom Shop can build you an X220 or X227 that will become your go-to guitar, and will serve you for many years to come. And with our 10-day, in home no risk trial period and 5 year warranty, you have nothing to lose. Head over to today, and design your new X guitar!
