Christmas has come early from Jeff Kiesel and the Kiesel Guitars USA Custom Shop with the pre-NAMM announcement of our first-ever 7-string bass guitar, the Zeus Series ZBM7 multiscale headless bass! This comes on the heels of our recent addition of Zeus multiscale basses in 4, 5 and 6 string versions, which are already generating significant buzz among Kiesel players.
The ZBM7 has all the features of other Zeus Series basses, but in an amazing 7-string headless configuration that’s lightweight, compact and surprisingly easy to play, even if you’ve never ventured beyond 5 or 6 strings. The 33.2″ – 35″ multiscale configuration keeps all the strings tight and punchy, and Kiesel Guitars’ 18V active/passive electronics and Radium humbuckers provide all the headroom and tone you could ask for. Other features include Kiesel-designed Hipshot bridge, and Kiesel-designed locking nut that allows the use of standard single-ball end strings, a beveled alder body and Eastern hardrock maple neck; and staggered offset dots and stainless steel frets on the ebony fingerboard.
Of course, because it’s a Kiesel, there are dozens and dozens of options you can choose from, including exotic woods for the body, neck, fingerboard and top; solid and translucent finishes, as well as our exclusive color-shift and crackle finishes; and an assortment of inlay styles and materials. No matter what your playing style or personal tastes are, the Kiesel Guitars USA Custom Shop can build you a Zeus multiscale bass that will be your go-to instrument for years to come.
