You asked for it, you got it! Jeff Kiesel and the Kiesel Guitars Custom Shop is excited to announce the forthcoming Vader Series multiscale headless guitars! Many, many Kiesel Guitars players have been asking for this on the heels of the wildly successful Vader Series headless guitars and Aries Series multiscale guitars, and we’re thrilled to launch this exciting new model.
The Vader Series multiscale guitars are offered in a 6, 7 and 8 string version; The VM6, VM7 and VM8. The VM6 has a 25.5″ – 26.5″ scale length; the VM7 has a 25.5″ – 27″ scale length; and the VM8 has a 26″ – 27.5″ scale length. Staggered offset dots, staggered offset dots with the 12th fret “K” logo or the 12th fret “K” logo by itself are available and if your not a fan of inlays, you can opt for no inlays. All other Vader options are available, including a chambered body; exotic top, body and neck woods; and our complete selection of standard solid finishes, optional translucent & metallic finishes, and deep finishes for flamed and quilted maple tops.

You’ve seen the new inlays that have come out of the Kiesel Guitars Custom Shop over the past months, and now you can order these online for you new guitar or bass! We’ve added Green Acrylic, Blue Acrylic, Red Acrylic and Pink Acrylic, alongside our popular Black Acrylic. These can be ordered on dot, diamond or block inlays. We’ve also added Luminlay Super Blue inlays for dots and diamonds, which glow in the dark, and look great in conjunction with our Luminlay Super Blue side dots.
In addition to these new materials, we’ve also added new inlay shapes. There have been many requests over the years for offset dots, and we’re excited to offer these in two configurations; offset along the top edge of the fingerboard, and staggered, where the inlays above the 12th fret are along the top of the fingerboard, and below the 12th are at the bottom of the fingerboard. Offset dots can also be combined with our new K Series inlay, which the Custom Shop designed for use on the 70th Anniversary K-Series Guitars. The K Series inlays feature a “K” logo at the 12th fret, and can be ordered with offset dots, staggered offset dots, or by itself. We’ve also added 12th fret-only dots, diamonds or blocks, for a more minimalist aesthetic. All of our new inlays are also available in genuine abalone or mother-of-pearl.
To make ordering your new inlays more intuitive, we’ve also re-worked the whole inlay process on the online Guitar Builder. First, you select your shape, such as diamonds or blocks, then you select the material or color you want. Note that not all inlays are available on all models, and not all materials are available on all shapes.
To kick off Kiesel Guitars’ 1st Anniversary, as well as the 70th Anniversary of the founding of Kiesel/Carvin Guitars, we’ve taken two of our most acclaimed models, and put them together in one unique, limited edition guitar that’s sure to blow you away. In conjunction with longtime friend and virtuoso artist Jason Becker, we’ve combined the style of his Jason Becker Tribute JB24 “Numbers” Guitar with the design and construction of the wildly popular Vader V6 Headless Guitar. The result is the Limited Edition Jason Becker Vader JBV6, which combines the unique look and features of the JB24, with the lightweight, headless design of the Vader.
The JBV6 has the unique features of the JB24, including a swamp ash body, multi-colored Seymour Duncan pickups (including Jason’s signature “Perpetual Burn” pickup in the bridge) in an H-S-H configuration, multi-colored “Numbers” inlays on a maple fingerboard, multi-colored logo, and master volume with an orange knob. These features are combined with the construction of the Vader: maple neck-through design, chambered body, and aggressive body beveling. And, of course, the headless design that customers and the industry have raved about. Limited finishes are available; you can choose from Clear, White White, Black, Ferrari Red, Kiesel Racing Green, Kiesel Racing Orange, McLaren Yellow, Grabber Blue, or Hot Pink with the top coat in either Satin Matte or Clear Gloss.
The JBV6 is a Limited Edition model, and will only be available through January 31st, 2016. It’s sure to be an instant collectible, so order yours today! Comes complete with Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Mark Kiesel & Jeff Kiesel.
Because of the Limited Edition nature of this guitar, there will be no returns/refunds. The JBV6 is made at the Kiesel Guitars Custom Shop in San Diego, California, and is covered by Kiesel Guitars’ 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Like other Jason Becker models, a portion of the proceeds from these instruments go directly to Jason and his family to help with his special needs.

The guitar revolution continues with the Kiesel Guitars Custom Shop! We are very excited to debut the all-new Aries AM6 and Aries AM7 multiscale fanned-fret bolt-neck electric guitars. Multiscale guitars have been high on many players wish list for quite some time, and after extensive R & D by the Custom Shop, we’ve come up with an instrument that will satisfy the most discriminating musician.
The Aries Multiscale Series feature an aggressively beveled body, reminiscent of the popular SCB Series, providing modern looks with comfortable playing. Sculpted horns, inspired by the Vader Series headless guitars, further accentuate the styling of the guitars, while allowing easy access high on the 24-fret fingerboard. A redesigned sculpted neck heel contributes to the ease of playing high on the fingerboard, and the elimination of the neck plate in favor of ferrules adds to the sleek design of the instrument. Dual carbon-fiber rods, along with a 2-way fully adjustable truss rod make the neck remarkably stable, and the tung-oil neck finish makes for fast playing, regardless of your style.
Other features of the Aries Multiscale Series include a standard alder body, reversed pointed inline 6 & 7 string headstocks, offset dot inlays, a standard Hipshot bridge, direct-mount angled Kiesel Lithium humbuckers and our new optional center position Kiesel Lithium single coil pickup. Hundreds of Custom Shop options, including body and neck woods, top woods, fingerboard woods, fretwire, a weight-reducing chambered body option and much more allow you to design your new Aries exactly the way you want it. Like all Kiesel and Carvin Guitars, the Aries Series is proudly made in the USA at our southern California facility.

The new Kiesel Vader Series headless basses feature an aggressive, compact beveled body, which provide modern looks with comfortable playing. Generous forearm and belly cuts further add to the satisfying ergonomics of the bass. A sculpted lower cutaway further accentuates the styling of the instrument, while allowing easy access high on the 24-fret, 34″ scale fingerboard, and a 30″ short-scale option is offered on all three models. Our chambered body option further reduces the already light weight of the instrument. The standard body wood is alder, with an Eastern hard rock maple neck-through design. Dual modulus carbon-fiber rods, along with a 2-way fully adjustable truss rod make the neck remarkably stable, and allows you to adjust the action exactly the way you want it, regardless of your playing style.
Other features of the Vader Series basses include a standard Hipshot™ bridge with exclusive Kiesel locking nut/headpiece assembly, allowing the use of standard bass strings. Radiused-top RADHV humbuckers are standard, with passive electronics and a master volume, master tone and pickup blend controls. Radiused single coil pickups and active electronics are also available. Hundreds of Custom Shop options, including body and neck woods, top woods, fingerboard woods, fretwire, inlays and much more allow you to design your new Vader bass exactly the way you want it. Like all Kiesel and Carvin Guitars, the Vader Series is proudly made in the USA at our southern California facility.

These new guitars were designed from the ground up to be completely different from any other bolt-neck instrument the Custom Shop has produced, and are loaded with new features and options any guitarist can appreciate.

Kiesel Guitars and the Carvin Guitars Custom Shop is excited to team up with noted bassist Roy Vogt to offer the Roy Vogt RV69K 6-string signature bass, part of the Vanquish Series bolt-neck basses. Roy has been playing Custom Shop basses for a number of years, and has worked with an amazing list of artists, including Larry Coryell, Victor Wooten, Tom Scott and the LA Express, Chester Thompson, Glenn Campbell, BJ Thomas, Chet Atkins, Englebert Humperdink, Dickey Betts, Charlie Daniels, Jerry Reed and many others, and we are excited to work with him on the development of his new signature instrument.
Like all Custom Shop guitars and basses, the RV69K is made in the USA, and is loaded with features generally only found in high-end instruments. Standard features include an alder body, 4A flamed maple top with matching headstock, 5-piece maple/walnut neck with tung-oil finish, and dual SCP split-coil pickups. New 18V active/passive electronics include a master volume/push-pull active switch, pickup blend, stacked concentric bass/treble, and stacked concentric mid with sweep. The new pickup blend circuitry eliminates volume drop-off when the pickups are blended for more consistent sound when playing.
The Roy Vogt Signature RV69K is our first bass to carry the Kiesel badge. It's a boutique instrument, however, because we sell direct to you, you don’t have to pay a boutique price for your new Custom Shop bass. With hundreds of options available, you can build your V69K exactly the way you want it, and be the proud owner of an instrument that will last you a lifetime.
Kiesel Guitars and the Carvin Guitars Custom Shop is now offering our new Kiesel Passive Lithium Series humbuckers as replacement parts. These are the same pickups that have been used in some of our popular new models, such as the DC800 and Vader. Bridge and neck models are available, in 6, 7 and 8 string configurations.
Lithium Series humbucker pickups were made for the demanding modern music where clarity, focus and articulation is needed. From standard to drop tuning, this series offers great versatility and has an excellent balance between power and clarity. Patented six point star headed (also known as Torx) adjustable pole pieces give the proper amount of mass to add the needed focus and get amazing attack. The expensive Alnico V magnets produce a rich, powerful sound with warmth that is not available from less expensive ceramic magnets. The Kiesel pickups were designed in house and are proudly made in our Southern California Custom Shop. These feature one coil loaded with adjustable pole pieces and the other coil loaded with non-adjustable slugs. Lithium Series pickups feature industry standard sizing so these are direct replacements for brands such as Duncan, Dimarzio, Bare Knuckle, and Lundgren.
The standard color is black, but white coils, cream coils and zebra coils (white/black or cream/black) arealso available. The 6-string versions can also be ordered with black or cream mounting bezels.
For a limited time, we're offering these new pickups as a free upgrade on any humbucker-equipped Custom Shop guitar that has our 22-pole pickups standard. California Carved Tops, DC neck-through models, 7-sring models – order now, and we'll install a set of our new Lithium pickups…FREE!
