Custom Shop Woods
The RV69K has a beveled top body which is very comfortable and provides great access and playability. The body is made from alder, which is a high-quality tone wood used by many manufacturers because of it's relative light weight and and fine resonating tone. Alder has a subtle and attractive grain that looks great in any of Kiesel Guitars' many finishes, including solid colors, translucent finishes and our metallic solid finishes. Although alder is the standard wood, optional woods such as swamp ash, maple, mahogany, black or white limba, walnut and koa are available, all of which have their own tonal characteristics. A premium 4A flamed maple top with matching headstock is standard, and other top woods, such as AAAA quilted maple, flamed koa, flamed spalted maple, burled maple and California Claro walnut can be selected.

V49K 5-Bolt Neck
RV69K 5-Bolt Neck
The standard neck has a tung-oil finish and is a 5-piece Eastern hard rock maple neck with 2 walnut stripes. Other 5-piece necks of different combinations of maple, walnut, mahogany, limba and koa can be selected to add to the already great looks of this instrument. You can choose a high-gloss or satin finish on the back of the neck, if you prefer. Each Custom Shop neck goes through an exclusive, several-week long conditioning process which maximizes the stability of the neck forever. Two high-strength carbon-fiber reinforcing rods are placed in all bass necks along with a very stout and reliable easy to adjust dual action truss rod. The result is a neck that will remain true and adjustable for the life of the instrument. The new 5- bolt neck makes for a neck joint that's strong and provides additional punch.

The RV69K features a standard 34" scale ebony fingerboard with white pearl dot inlays, a 14" radius and 24 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets. You can choose from a wide assortment of fingerboard options, including maple, birdseye maple, flamed maple, rosewood or zebrawood fingerboards; dot, block, diamond or Signature inlays in mother-of-pearl or genuine abalone as well as black acrylic blocks and diamonds. The Custom Shop also offers a number of fretwire options, including jumbo, low-wide and gold EVO in various sizes. For the fretless player, you can choose an unlined ebony fingerboard, or an ebony fingerboard with white inlaid lines and with or without dot position markers. All fretless necks have small position markers on the side of the fingerboard. The "Rapid Play" low action neck assures effortless playability throughout the entire fingerboard, while the lower cutaway and innovative cutaway neck heel allows easy access all the way up to the 24th fret. Our fully-computerized CNC machinery guarantees a neck pocket which the bolt-on neck will fit perfectly in to, increasing stability and sustain.

RV69K Vanquish Bass Controls
RV69K Control Layout & Dual SCP Split-Coil Pickups
Electronics on the Vanquish Series consist of Kiesel Guitars' new 18V active/passive module with master volume/push-pull active switch, pickup blend, stacked concentric bass/treble, and stacked concentric mid with sweep. The new pickup blend circuitry eliminates volume drop-off when the pickups are blended. This electronics configuration has proven to be very popular among bassists, providing a huge array of tonal options that are suitable for any style of music. Another first for the Custom Shop, and unique to the RV69K is the pair of Kiesel Guitars' SCP split coil pickups, which are standard in black, but also available in cream.

A Hipshot™ A-style bridge with strings fed through the body is standard. Kiesel Guitars has used an assortment of bridges throughout the years, and we've found the Hipshot to be one of the best available. This bridge provides deep punch and definition, and has individual side-to-side string adjustment which allows you to custom-tailor the playability of your bass. The Hipshot bridge allows you to feed the strings through the body (standard), or top load the strings. String spacing is a comfortable 0.64" (16.25mm) on center. The V59K comes equipped with medium-light roundwound strings, and you can also choose medium-heavy, flatwounds or medium-light stainless steel strings. Premium 20:1 tuners are standard, and standard hardware is chrome, with 24K gold or black optional.
